whenever I'm alone i imagine you in a tuxedo
i cover myself with a white sheet
to see a bride a ghost or whatever is left of me
and nothing is (x2)
when the night is young but i am tired
i meet you on a telephone wire
ask you to cover yourself with my duvet
floral prints and when there's nothing left to say
close your eyes (x2)
i wish i wasn't so devoted
to this terrible old habit
when i've cried for seven days straight
and my heart no longer cooperates
a wet pillow and bloodshot eyes
lock myself inside and tell you to go away
go away
i wish i wasn't so devoted
to this terrible old habit

If it weren't for Tullycraft I'd say this is the best twee album in ten years. Every song here is so amazing and the vox are heartbreaking and I wish there were more albums. I listen to this whenever I'm feeling sad. It's one of the best albums I've ever heard. PS yeah the production is insane, good luck finding stuff like this. timmy gogo

The name of this album perfectly encapsulates everything I love about Elizabeth's musical output from the Darlings to Allo Darlin' to these precious songs: an unyielding optimism that is never naive, and by being so, becomes wildly contagious. Some music tells you that "everything will be ok", but her music actually makes you believe it, even when the lyrics hint at doubt. Michael Feck
